Casino Trip: Monday, April 28 at 9:30

We will be going to the Resorts World Hudson Valley Casino. Bus riders receive $20 slot dollars and a boxed lunch. Must show a valid state or federal issued picture ID (non-expired) to receive a Genting Rewards Card, Bus Bonus Package and Reprinting Genting Rewards card. Bus returns at 5:30. Price is $45.

Red Hat Luncheon : Tuesday, April 29  at  1:00

The Sunshine Rambling Roses is the only New Fairfield officially registered chapter of the Red Hat Society. We are holding out our red-gloved hands and inviting you to join us at our next monthly luncheon, signup required.

Garden Club: Friday, May 2 at 10:00 am

Garden Club members meet the first Friday of every month. Newcomers are welcome. Odd months we meet at the Senior Center, even months we meet at Putnam Diner

Caregivers Support Group – Saturday, May 3 10:00 am

Maureen Salerno, LCSW, is offering a session at the Center once a month for caregivers who need support and information. This group is for any family member or friend who cares for a loved one, whether the limitation is due to an illness, an injury, dementia or something else.

​

Hot Dog Bingo: Monday, May 5 at 1:00 $6 covers both 1st Bingo card and refreshments.​

Additional cards are $1.00 each.  Please, adults only. Come for fun.

Men’s Breakfast Club Tuesday, May 6, 8:30 am 

Enjoy some hot catered breakfast foods. Donations are kindly requested to offset the cost of breakfast.

High School Culinary Visit Tuesday, May 6, 11:30 am 

You’re invited to tour the Culinary Department of the new Fairfield High School and swap some of your favorite cookie recipes. We will carpool from the Senior Center leaving at 11:30. Signup is limited to 20 so call or stop in right away.

Prayers for Peace: Wednesday, May 7 at 3:00

People of all faiths are welcome to join us to share prayers and inspirational writings for both inner peace and world peace. Participants can bring a prayer or quote of their choosing. We will also have available books with prayers and writings from all religions, encompassing many themes. Hosted by Susan and Michael Dutton.

CT Money School will be offering a 60 minute workshop about money management. They will cover Personal financial values and beliefs and how they influence your financial decisions. You will learn how to identify, prioritize and set S.M.A.R.T. (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Time-Based) goals. Also learn how to understand needs versus wants and how external influences impact your financial choices.

Foot Reflexology Appointments with Eileen Byrnes: Tuesday, May 6 at 9:00 and Tuesday, May 27 at 9:00 Reflexology reduces stress, promotes relaxation, improves circulation of oxygen and nutrients, also detoxifies and cleanses the body.  Eileen Byrnes, nationally certified reflexologist, provides MONTHLY one-on-one therapy appointments. The state produces more waste than we have capacity to manage, forcing dependency on out-of-state landfills and waste to energy plants at a higher cost.
