There’s a lot happening at the Senior Center this month!

• Monday, June 8 at 1:30 PM – A representative from Collette Tours will be here to share details about our exciting upcoming trip to Portugal. Stop by to learn more about this wonderful travel opportunity.

• Tuesday, June 9 – We’ll be visiting the Western Connecticut State University Nursing Simulation Lab for a behind-the-scenes look at the state-of-the-art training facilities used by today’s nursing students.

 

• Friday, June 12 at 12:00 PM – Puti returns to the kitchen to demonstrate how to prepare a delicious summer dish. Come enjoy cooking tips and tasty inspiration!

 

• Have you been curious about the large green box in the Senior Center parking lot? A representative from the HRRA Food Scrap Program will be here to explain how the Food Scrap Compost Bin works and how you can participate.

 

• Wednesday, June 17 – Join us for an informative presentation on stroke symptoms, treatments, prevention, and more.

 

• Be sure to sign up for the Annual Senior Center Picnic—one of our favorite events of the year! You won't want to miss the fun, food, and fellowship.

 

• Monday, June 29 – Set sail for Port Jefferson and enjoy a relaxing afternoon of lunch, shopping, and sightseeing.

 

• Also on Monday, June 29 at 2:00 PM, discover the benefits of acupuncture. Learn how this traditional practice may help improve wellness, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life.
