New Fairfield Senior Center
ABOUT THE CENTER
The New Fairfield Senior Center seeks to provide opportunities for enrichment and interaction for adults above the age of 60 in an atmosphere of support. Our center has a respectful atmosphere to maximize a sense of wellbeing and health through participation in activities at the Center and in the community.
Our History
After surveying the needs of seniors in our community, the Commission on the Aging established the New Fairfield Senior Center in 1986. Its first part-time home was located in the firehall. After needs increased by 1997, the senior center moved to Heritage Plaza. With community support, the present Senior Center at 33 Route 37, New Fairfield was erected and our new center programs began on July 3, 2009.
